Liu An Guan Pian

Chà Tea Atelier
DESCRIPTION

Originally this tea was called Gua Zi Pian or "sunflower seeds" because of its strong resemblance to the popular snack served in Chinese teahouses. Over the years the name has been reduced simply to Gua Pian. Liu An, on the other hand, is the name of the village located in Jin Zhai County (Anhui) where this tea originates. The leaves turn out to be particularly long and thin with a bright green color and give an intense but not aggressive taste in the cup, without bitterness and persistence. Glass or porcelain Gaiwan is recommended for preparation.

If prepared by oriental infusion method: 5-6 g. in the Gaiwan. Up to 4 infusions of 20-40 seconds each.
