DESCRIPTION
This Hong Yu #21 is a relatively new tea (2008), developed by the Taiwan Research and Extension Station. It is a cross between an Assam from Burma and the cultivar from which Keemun is made. The tea bushes are grown around Sun Moon Lake, Nantou's famous lake. Not many producers make tea from this cultivar.
The taste is special and powerful, both the character of an Assam and that of a Keemun come out nicely.
