Rooibos Long Cut

Rooibos comes in different qualities depending on the ratio of needles to twigs. This version consists mainly of needles and thus has a slightly purer taste than a rooibos which consists mainly of twigs. Sometimes Rooibos can taste a bit dusty but this one is pure!

Rooibos is a very well known tea by now and not made from the tea plant Camellia but from a shrub called 'Aspalathus linearis' or, 'Red Bush'. Actually misleading because rooibos only gets its red color after oxidation. After harvest and before oxidation, the leaf, or rather the needles, is still green.
