A Silver Needle from Yunnan. Popular because of its slightly sweeter full flavor compared to the Silver Needle from Fujian.
An organic white tea, made only from the buds of the tea plant. There is very precise picking, the tea consists only of needles. Sometimes you see Silver Needle on the market which however consists of needles but also of small leaves. This makes the tea cheaper but not actually a real Silver Needle.
Tea from Yunnan has its own taste, somewhat full of sweetness with its own fragrance. In general the experience is that customers appreciate Silver Needle from Yunnan more than the version from Fujian because the one from Yunnan is more pronounced.
For Silver Needle only the buds are used, the leaves that have not yet been rolled out. The buds are picked within the first few days of their formation.
After picking, the tea is refreshed (the buds lose about 70% of their moisture) and dried, weather permitting in the sun. Otherwise indoors under controlled conditions. However, the temperature remains low, about 40 degrees.
