A cool and unique white tea, this Zomba Pearls. Hand rolled into a pyramid. Tea leaf (2 leaves and a top) is picked by hand, wilted and rolled into the pearl. Then the pearls are dried with hot air.
The tea has an earthy flavor and a very slight smoky edge.
Satemwa is a beautiful tea plantation in Malawi. The plantation has been around since 1923 and spans 3 generations. The tea plantation is located around the Thyolo Mountains with tropical sunshine interspersed with refreshing rain showers. On the plantation much attention is paid to health care, the nature in the area, education and creates employment for about 2000 people from the immediate surroundings.
Besides the beautiful ctc tea, since a few years there is also a development going on to make beautiful specialty tea.
