Yuchi Red Jade White

From the tea plant from which Yuchi Red Jade #18 is also made, this rare white tea from Taiwan. It is a cross between an Assam from Burma and a local Taiwanese cultivar.

The tea bushes are grown around Sun Moon Lake, the famous lake of Nantou. Not many producers make tea from this cultivar. The taste is like that expected from a white tea but from one that has been given longer to wilt and dry. The taste is deeper and fuller than the well-known white teas from Fujian.
