White Peony

Finally another beautiful White Peony in the range. Consisting of young leaves and lots of tips with the nice fresh taste specific to a white tea from Fujian. I tasted no bitters, the tea pours often and has a nice aftertaste.

• Hand-picked in late March/early April
• From Fuding, Fujian, China
• The plants grow at an altitude of 1,300 meters
• Cultivar: Fuding Da Bai Cha
• Natural farming

This White Peony comes from a beautiful plantation located near the 'Jiu Feng' mountain range. The tea is picked and wilted so that moisture evaporates from the leaf. Wilting is done outside in the sun if the weather permits and inside otherwise. In the final step, the leaf is dried over charcoal. Very carefully to keep the leaf whole and also to prevent the leaf from acquiring a roasting taste.
