Satemwa is a beautiful tea plantation in Malawi. We got to know the people of Satemwa when they came to the Netherlands for a tasting. Aside from the beautiful ctc tea, they are also striking a blow in the beautiful specialty tea.
The plantation has been around since 1923 and spans 3 generations. The tea plantation is located around the Thyolo Mountains with the tropical sun interspersed with refreshing rain showers. Much attention is paid on the plantation to health care, nature in the area, education and creates employment for some 2000 people from the immediate area.
