Houraisan culinary matcha tea powder 100 g

For use in drinks, cakes, creams, in the kitchen or in the preparation of milk drinks and lattes.
100 gr pack, packed in Japan, refrigerated.

Good matcha comes from Japan, from shaded tea plantations, gently and cleanly processed, its origin is traceable. ("not all matcha is green powder...")

Tea leaves grown for matcha for culinary use are also harvested after 2-3 weeks of shading and then transported to the processing site. (The chlorophyll, amino acid and polyphenol content of the tea leaves begins to increase with shading. This is what gives it its beautiful emerald green colour.) Tencha is the tea leaf that has been processed and sorted. It is ground in the stone mills only when the matcha order arrives.
Culinary matcha powder is ground differently than ceremonial teas. While for ceremonial teas, 40 grams of powder is ground in 1 hour by slow rotating mills, for culinary tea powders, several kg of tea leaf pulp is ground into powder.

Matcha latte recipe

Pour 1.5 g. of tea powder with 50-60 ml of 60 ˚C water. (You can also make a paste of the milk powder with a little cold water first, then pour the rest of the water over it to make a lump-free paste.) Then add the frothed milk, which can be used hot or cold. To taste, add the milk to the 250 - 300 ml of the drink (we suggest adding vegetable milk)

For a cake, sift it into the flour. For an 8-slice cake, use 5-8 gr of milk powder. Note that the colour of the finished cake will not be bright green, as the baking process will change the colour of the tea, turning it slightly brown. The longer you bake it or the higher the heat, the browner it will be.

Cream can be mixed with it, and it can also be used in lemonades, tea cocktails (matcha tonics; matcha mojitos, etc.)

Our tea does not contain any colouring, preservatives or other additives.
After opening, carefully reseal and store in the refrigerator!
It is useful to strain through a filter before use.
