I often use it when I want to make a large quantity of tea quickly. It is also suitable for making Chinese, Japanese and Taiwanese teas when you don't have the time or attention to choose the traditional brewing method.
I often use it while sitting next to a computer, in which case I usually choose Taiwanese or wuyi oolong.
I put 5 grams of tea leaves in the filter and pour 95 degree water over it. I let it steep for 4-5 minutes, then remove the strainer, which I can conveniently place on top of the pot so I don't get drips all over the table. A small cup is all I need and I'm ready for tea.
