DESCRIPTION

A rustic matcha cup handmade in Hungary, based on a Japanese design, by ceramist Ági Nagy-György. It has a real wabi-sabi feel, fantastic silky touch, holds heat well and is wonderful to drink matcha.

Diameter: about 12 cm, but slight variations may occur due to handmade, each cup is unique.
Height about. 7-8 cm.

"Carved" Chawan - matcha cup

Artistic cup for making and drinking matcha tea, called a chawan, is a wonderful tool with a rustic design and an absolutely natural feel.


Made in Hungary, based on a Japanese model, by ceramist Ágnes Nagy-György, 100% by hand :-).
We worked together to find the perfect shape and glaze.
Ceramic, so it is less fragile, and you can put it in the dishwasher if you feel it's necessary, but we recommend cleaning it by hand, without chemicals, after each tea.

Each cup is unique. Height approx. 7-8 cm.


To make matcha tea, whisk 2 gr matcha tea with the chasen (bamboo brush) in water at approx. 80 degrees Celsius. The water should be about 75-80 ml. You can find a video on how to make matcha on our Youtube channel.
