Earl Grey

This Earl Grey is the result of a lot of testing and trying. At a tasting night with 14 different kinds of Earl Grey at the ITC (International Tea Coffee Academy), they were really all different and no one top 3 came out, for example. Different people, different tastes!

We ourselves chose a nice coarser black tea as a base (Ceylon and Assam) and used Twinings' delicious Earl Grey as a guide in choosing the type and amount of bergamot oil.

One Earl Grey is not the other. The quality of black tea used and the quality and amount of bergamot oil used make a lot of difference in the final result. There are many types of bergamot oil, each with a different kind of "lemon aroma. You can use these purely or mix them again.
