'Inca treasure'
Lapacho is the treasure of the Incas, deep in the rain forests of Argentina. The Lapacho is an evergreen tree that can live up to 700 years. It grows deep in the rainforests of Argentina and Paraguay. The Incas have used the extract from its bark as a tasty drink for hundreds of years. The natives revere the "tree of life" for its medicinal properties. There are very many health properties attributed to this bark. The red infusion is obtained by removing part of the outer bark, harvesting the second layer and grinding it.
In the 1960s, Pau d'Arco was first investigated for its contents. The Pau d'Arco tree is known for its resistance to fungus and insect attack. The bark is so strong that it is equivalent to the fire resistance of steel or concrete!
Lapacho is considered a panacea which helps with fungal infections and regulates organ functions. In addition, Pau d´Arco is said to help with sleeping problems, lapacho can strengthen the heart, can heal skin rashes and is said to keep blood vessels clean. This Lapacho comes from the border region of Brazil and Argentina. It is sliced small, has a fine mild flavor with characteristics of anise, licorice, licorice, earth and light vanilla.

Recipe: 1 teaspoon | 300ml boiling water | 10 min infusion time
