Colorful prayer flags, tower high mountains, beautiful tea!
In the shadow of the Kanchenjunga (third highest peak in the world), surrounded by the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas, this beautiful white tea grows in the north-eastern tip of Nepal, near the border of India (Darjeeling)
This organic tea garden is no more than 16 years old, so the tea plants are relatively young. Because of the altitude, a fantastic climate for tea and the fertile soil, gems of teas come from here. Beautiful enough to rival the Chinese varieties!
This tea is carefully picked by hand so as not to damage the young leaf buds. The small downy hairs on the young leaves are still clearly visible. The plant thus protects itself from the cold at this altitude.
The flavor of this tea is nuanced and complex. Floral notes, nuts, a nice sweetness and fruit characterize the beautiful quality of this tea
