Director Akihito Takaki was born in 1973 in Hoshino Village as the first son of Takaki Green Tea Farm. He graduated from Yame High School.
Studied business administration and management for 7 years in Vancouver, Canada.
In 1999, he took over his family business from his father.
He says:Because we have an integrated operation, from cultivation to preparation and sales, we are able to realize a luxury single-estate, single-variety tea demanded by the core layer of the overseas market. We can divert quantities of our products intended for general sale, allowing us to support small-batch orders.
By leveraging our strengths in cultivation, preparation and sales, we are able to provide high-quality Japanese tea at a price level equal to our domestic price.
Because we have people with experience abroad, we can help not only with correspondence in English, but also with shipping and customs clearance.
Because we have techniques for growing Japanese tea for the EU market, we are also able to distribute through formal channels to EU countries - where pesticide residue standards are strict.
