Twisted White Tea Buds from "the land of a thousand hills"
The Twisted White Tea comes from the Gisovu Tea Estate in Rwanda, a plantation known for its good quality tea. Gisovu is located in the in western Rwanda, in the "Nyungwe Forest," a national park with a jungle older than the ice age. It is the habitat of chimpanzees and Colobus monkeys. Special honey is also found here
Hiking an hour away, one of the sources of the Nile rises. The tea garden is about 2,200 m above sea level and provides ideal growing conditions for tea. Each month about 25 kg of this Twisted White is produced by hand and sold internationally. This tea plantation is among one of the highest in the world.
