Gyokuro Hoshi Fu - Hoshino Seichaen
Gyokuro Hoshi Fu is a traditionally shaded Japanese green tea, which is part of the cheaper category of Hoshino Seichaen's Gyokuro.
From a quality and characteristics point of view, it is comparable to the Fujinami and Mizuyama teas of the Marukyu-Koyamaen range. Ultimately, it also reflects the type of Gyokuro, often the only one, produced by the vast majority of other Japanese companies, which, however, do not have the same tradition and know-how as Hoshino and Koyamaen.
Hoshino is a Gyokuro specialist in Japan. Because of the natural environment in which it operates and its manufacturing expertise, it is able to create products of higher quality than the average Gyokuro on the market. The cheapest Gyokuro are produced, in most cases, only with plastic camouflage nets (jikagise gyokuro) mounted on trellises or stretched above the plants themselves. With Hoshino, however, the music is quite different, as, in this case, the tea is covered only with rice straw.
It is a sweet, long, pleasant, warm tea that envelops the palate.
Hoshino Seichaen's plantations, also nicknamed the tea garden, are located in the Hoshi Valley, which is part of the Gyokuro Valley located in turn in Yame, southern Japan. The company has been working since the 1950s to ensure that its plantations, cultivation and labor standards, as well as tea processing facilities are distinguished by efficiency and quality.
Hoshino Seichaen specializes in the production of the highest quality Matcha, Gyokuro and Sencha teas. Then again, in addition to the skill and craftsmanship of the tea brewers, there is also an area incredibly well-suited for growing green tea to lend a not inconsiderable hand.
