DESCRIPTION
High grade organically grown sencha from the Yame area, which produces the best teas in Fukuoka Prefecture. The leaves of this tea are harvested purely from the Okuhikari cultivar bushes, which are suitable for the mountainous areas where this sencha comes from. The processing of the leaves is fukamushi - a longer, deeper steaming.
The aroma of the dry leaves is freshly grassy, with sweet creamy caramel notes in the infused leaves. Intense umami flavour is accompanied with long aftertaste.
