Beautiful handcrafted tea bowl with a beautiful tulip shape.
The traditional way of Mishima is a white clay to highlight stamped shapes. In this houhin we chose a beautiful blue stamping on dark pottery.
A slow firing technique (Yakishime) makes these cups beautifully light in weight. The inside is glazed smooth gray and decorated with a hakeme, a brushstroke.
This bowl has a nice medium size for sencha or other high-quality and therefore tea that is rich in flavor. This size is also referred to as kumidashi or senchawan.
For houjicha and bancha, larger cylindrical cups are usually used
The bowl has the following dimensions: 9 x 5cm
