This blend is 70% green mate, with ingredients exclusively organically grown. Used to prepare a traditional beverage widely consumed in South America, mate leaves are renowned for their beneficial effects. Your Maté Grenade has many benefits in store for you: improved blood circulation, heightened alertness, stimulation of brain activity and physical revitalization thanks to its high caffeine content. Discover here our tips for getting the most out of your tea.
How to prepare mate
Prepare your Maté Grenade as you would any other tea. Brew about 2.5 g in 30 cl of hot water for 3 to 5 minutes. It's best not to drink your Maté Grenade in the evening before bedtime, as it contains a high concentration of caffeine. If you wish to remove some of the caffeine, start by infusing for 15-30 seconds, then discard this water into which the caffeine will have passed, and continue infusing.
How to choose your water for a good tea
To preserve as much of the natural flavour of your tea as possible, the water in which you brew it should be as neutral and pure as possible. Water that is too hard, for example, will leave little room for the aromas to express themselves. If you have a water filter, don't hesitate to use it to purify the water you use.
What container should you use to prepare your tea?
In reality, the characteristics of the container you use to prepare your tea are of little importance. The criterion on which you shouldn't compromise is the use you make of it. You absolutely must not allow yourself to prepare your tea in a pot that you use for all sorts of other things. Of course, it's best to use a teapot. This pot with lid and spout is the best ally of any tea lover worth his salt. How do you keep your teapot looking its best? Let the inside of your teapot build up a light layer of tannins over time, and avoid scrubbing or washing it with detergent. Simply rinse it in tap water after each use. Then, don't forget to air-dry it without the lid. An important rule is to use your teapot for only one type of tea. This means that if you don't always drink the same type of tea, you should take the trouble to acquire as many teapots as you drink different types of tea: black, green, white, etc.
