DESCRIPTION
This green tea is produced in the city of Kobayashi, in Miyazaki Prefecture. It belongs to the spring crop of 2022.
It is usually known as a tea with low caffeine, as it is made from the larger and less valuable leaves of the tea plant.
But this Bancha is made using the leaves of the spring crop.
Unlike summer Banchas, which are very popular and often used to make flavored blends, this tea retains some of the notes that unite it with the more classic spring teas, such as the marine and steamed vegetable part.
It lends itself, like many other Japanese green teas, to pairing with seafood dishes. It can also be paired with a matcha crème brûlée.
