DESCRIPTION
Lapsang Souchong is a variety of black tea, native to China, particularly the Fujian region. Its leaves, after harvesting and the oxidation process, are smoked with pine or cedar wood and left to rest in wooden barrels until they take on their characteristic aroma. Smoking imparts aromas with hints of wood, smoke and tobacco and a strong, full-bodied flavor, suitable as an accompaniment to meals, paired with cheeses, meat and fish, cured meats and strong flavors. It is also a particularly suitable tea in cooking, for various preparations and gourmet recipes.
