DESCRIPTION
Fennel is a common perennial plant native to the Mediterranean, but today it is grown everywhere. Fennel seeds differ from wild fennel seeds in their larger shape. The fragrant seeds are irreplaceable in the culinary world because of their pleasant anise-like flavor, with an end effect of sweetness. They are combined with meat and fish recipes, or for various processing in the food industries, such as sausages, sausages and salamis, or pastry and savory doughs. In India, where they are called "saunf," fennel seeds are used in the preparation of curries and blends, or combined with sugar and served at the end of a meal as a digestive and breath freshener.
