The History of Ru Porcelain
Of the five famous kilns in the Song Dynasty, the Yu kiln in Qing Lian Si Village, Henan Province, is the most renowned. The tableware was an extraordinary creation produced for the Chinese Imperial Palace. Very different from the earlier porcelain of the Ding period, Ru porcelain pieces are characterized by a beautiful pale bluish-green color and a depth of glaze that is almost rosy. Fewer than 70 pieces can be found today in the hands of a few museums, foundations and private collectors.
With elegant shapes and a translucent finish, these pieces are considered the official kilns. With a nostalgic touch and respect for the ancients, Lin's Ceramics Studio employs the wisdom of the ancestors to make brilliant acessories worthy of your collection.
