Masala Chai originates from India but is enjoyed around the world. Each Chai wallah has their own spice recipe and this is our favourite.
This Masala Chai is a well balanced blend of exotic warming spices and a rich malty tea leaves.
Brew this tea like any normal cup of tea with hot boiling water or for a truly authentic Masala Chai infuse the tea bag in ¼ cup of boiling water for at least 6 minutes, sweeten with honey or sugar and top up with hot milk.
Ingredients: Black Tea, Ginger, Cassia, Black Pepper, Cardamom, Cloves, Nutmeg.

How to brew the perfect cuppa:
To enjoy this tea at its best, always use freshly drawn and boiled water. (to help the planet, only boil the amount of water you need to save water and energy)
Take a moment to warm the pot.
Use 1 heaped tea spoon (around 2g) per person and pour over freshly boiled water (100°C).
Steep for 3-7 minutes, allowing the leaves to unfurl and release their full flavours.
Once the tea has brewed to your liking, strain, add milk, sweeten or go natural.
You decide, it’s your cuppa!

Refreshing iced tea:
Use 1 heaped tea spoon per person, 125ml of freshly boiled water and brew for 5 minutes.
Strain, sweeten to your liking and top up with 125ml of cold water. Serve over ice with slices of lemon & ginger.
