This Lapsang Souchong Loose Leaf Tea produces a light tawny infusion and has a smooth and full bodied taste with a smoky aroma from the tea leaves being smoked over pine fires.
Known as the” smoky tea” this is one of the most distinctive black teas in the world, gown in the Fujian province of China. This one has got us divided here at Westcountry Tea. Some of us love it, others hate it, you decide!

How to brew the perfect cuppa:
To enjoy this tea at its best, always use freshly drawn and boiled water. (to help the planet, only boil the amount of water you need to save water and energy)
Take a moment to warm the pot.
Use 1 tea spoon (around 2g) per person and pour over freshly boiled water (100°C).
Steep for 3-5 minutes, allowing the leaves to unfurl and release their full flavours.
Once the tea has brewed to your liking, strain, add milk/sweeten or go natural.
You decide, it’s your cuppa!

Refreshing iced tea:
Use 1 heaped tea spoon per person, 125ml of freshly boiled water and brew for 5 minutes.
Strain, sweeten to your liking and top up with 125ml of cold water. Serve over ice with slices of crystalized ginger.
