Years ago the British gave this Chinese green pearl tea the name Gunpowder due to its resemblance to pellets of gunpowder of that age!
This Gunpowder Green Tea produces a light yellow infusion with a satisfying, bittersweet tast and a fresh green aroma.
Immediately after being plucked the tea leaves are steamed, rolled into tiny pearlsand left to dry. It is the preferred green tea for North African mint teas.

How to brew the perfect cuppa:
To enjoy this tea at its best, always use freshly drawn water just off the boil 80°C.(to help the planet, only boil the amount of water you need to save water and energy)
Take a moment to warm the pot.
Use 1 heaped tea spoon (around 2g) per person and pour over freshly boiled water just off the boil (80°C).
Steep for 2-5 minutes, allowing the leaves to unfurl and release their full flavours.
Once the tea has brewed to your liking, strain, sweeten or go natural.
You decide, it’s your cuppa!

Refreshing iced tea:
Use 1 heaped tea spoon per person, 125ml of freshly boiled water just off the boil (80°C).and brew for 5 minutes.
Strain, sweeten to your liking and top up with 125ml of cold water. Serve over ice with fresh mint.
