DESCRIPTION
Gyokuro (Japanese 玉 露): Literally it means jade dew. It is a type of shady green tea from Japan. It differs from standard Japanese green tea by being grown in the shade rather than in full sun. Gyokuro is in the shade for up to six weeks. Gyokuro is one of the most expensive types of tea available in Japan. It is appreciated for its green color and sweet taste. Like all Japanese teas it must be infused at a temperature below 50C. | |
