Maté is believed to have been drunk for thousands of years by the indigenous people of South America. It is a great, healthy alternative to coffee, for those who want to stimulate the mind without palpitating the heart or suffering the pits and troughs of caffeine.
This set includes our own brand Tchai-Ovna Brazilian Maté, a beautiful metal bombilla straw and a large gourd, similar to the one pictured.
(IMPORTANT: Gourds come naturally uncured. We recommend curing them before usage by carefully scraping out any debris and infusing 3 tablespoons of maté for 24 hours)
