Drunk for perhaps 1000's of years by the indigenous people of South America, Mate is a great alternative to coffee for those who want to stimulate the mind, but not palpitate the heart and not suffer the pits and troughs of caffein.
This set includes our own brand Tchai-Ovna Brazilian Mate, a beautiful silver bombilla straw as well as a large gourde, similar to that pictured.
(Gourds come naturally uncured and we recommend curing them before usage by scraping out any debris and infusing 3 tablespoons of mate for 24 hours)
