DESCRIPTION
Lapsang Souchong is a Black tea from Fujian Province in China. This tea is widely known for having a smokey taste but actually there are many black teas processed here that are unsmoked, this is one of them!
Malty aroma in the warm gaiwan with a deep malt touch of spice off the rinse. Nice and smooth (the hallmark of a good Black). Low to zero mouth pucker. Not a sweet Black, this tea is malty with deep pinewood camphor. A more serious brew. A very balanced Black tea that offers a satisfying kick. Astringency is here, not overweighted, just right.
