Kamairicha is a tea processed in the "Chinese" way - oxidation has been stopped by dry heat and the shaping is more reminiscent of Chinese teas.
Kamairi tea comes from the summer harvest and this makes it a great exception. I often say at tastings that it is theoretically possible to have a quality green tea from the second harvest, but I have never come across it. For sencha this is still true and for kamairicha the impossible has just happened. The perfect processing, underlined the qualities of this tea and I have no hesitation in recommending it as an excellent choice if you want some "budget tea"- a nice autumn drink that won't break your wallet.
