MR.MATCHA

Mr. Matcha comes exclusively from Japan. From specific fields in Uji, Shizuoka or Kagoshima, known as the regions where the very best quality matcha in the world is traditionally produced. Depending on where the best quality harvest is being produced that year. Only the youngest and finest leaves from the first harvest are used and picked exclusively by hand. The leaves are steamed and dried, after which the veins and stems are carefully removed. The remaining pieces of leaf are then ground in a traditional stone mill into a silky fine powder, the matcha. We pay a higher price for our matcha for this extraordinary product. Mr.MATCHA tea has a lot of umami and complexity. When you taste the tea you know why. We don't mind paying higher prices for quality at these levels. We also do not want to offer any lower qualities. We think that's a waste of the taste of this beautiful product.
