The tea leaves of this plant are long and narrow (like a starling's tongue)

It is a late-growing tea variety with a low tea yield. This variety has been widely used to cross-breed to breed higher-yielding varieties.

The picking season for Wuyi oolongs starts around April 20. Each variety has its own harvesting period. Picking can take place about 3-5 days a year. For Wuyishan oolongs, only the top 2 or 3 leaves are picked. It should be waited until all the buds are open. The bud should be 2/3 the size of the second leaf. This picking method is called 'Zhong Kai Mian'

The tea leaves cannot be heavily roasted because they cannot withstand it due to their thin leaves. It is roasted once for 22 hours
